The City of Oxnard’s denial of the County’s Local Coastal Plan Amendment (LCPA) was a win that temporarily stopped the project moving forward. But the County and the billionaire developers have not given up.
On January 27, 2020, the County filed an Override request with the California Coastal Commission. The County’s Override seeks to overturn the City’s LCPA denial. If the Coastal Commission approves this Override, the project will be able to go forward. We need the Coastal Commission to deny the County’s request for an Override.

On September 15th the California Coastal Commision responded for the 9th time in the past 13 months citing inconsistency with the City of Oxnard LCP.
