April 22 was the first of 3 City of Oxnard meetings regarding the proposed development of Fisherman’s Wharf – How did we get here, what does it mean and where are we in this stage of City’s decision process on County’s request for a Local Coastal Plan Amendment (LCPA) that would change the Harbor forever.
Monday’s meeting was meant to gather public input and allow Tellefsen and his partners to present their vision so that the city can determine the potential impacts. Although this is countyowned property, Oxnard has a role to play.
April 22, 2019 Well attended Public Workshop! THANK YOU TO ALL!
In a February 8, 2019 letter to the Harbor & Beach Community Alliance with copies to the County Board of Supervisors and Oxnard City Council, Mark Sandoval wrote “I also stated that if anyone other than myself or my staff was providing an update on Harbor development or operations, to take it with a grain of salt and understand the objective of the presenting organization.”
